Sam Oniovosa |
Samuel Oniovosa has had a 25-year career in financial services. He joined ACA in May 2003 as a vice president and investment officer before becoming the firm’s Chief Financial Officer in July 2004. Sam began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he spent four years working on various financial consulting and audit engagements. After leaving Andersen, he held increasingly senior positions in accounting, treasury, corporate finance, commercial banking and financial management at Guinness Nigeria PLC, First City Merchant Bank, Credite Bank and United Bank for Africa. At United Bank for Africa, Sam was a Group Head in corporate banking and later became Group Head for the Lagos area commercial banking business. He rose to become Deputy General Manager and Senior Credit Officer with responsibility for risk management. Sam received a First Class degree in economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and MBA from the University of Lagos. He is a Nigerian Chartered Accountant, winning the second best overall prize in the final qualifying examinations.

Obi Nwogugu |
Obi Nwogugu, is the Fund Manager of CAPIC. Prior to joining African Capital Alliance, he worked for ING Clarion Partners, New York, Bank of America, Mergers and Acquisition, New York, Global Crossing Inc., New York and McKinsey & Company; New York. Obi holds a B.Engineering degree from University of Nigeria, MBA, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; and M.S. Computer Science from New York University.

Stanley Egbochuku |
Stanley Egbochuku is Vice President at African Capital Alliance. He has about 35 years experience in core print media business. Started off as a reporter/researcher in Afriscope Magazine and moved on the Daily Times of Nigeria Plc in 1975, where he was on the team that pioneered business journalism in Nigeria, and ended up with the Concord Newspaper Group as its Deputy Managing Director. Before then, he founded the Business Concord, the erstwhile leading business newspaper in Nigeria, which he edited for over five year. He was the Managing Director of Business Media Limited that introduced the Business Confidential, and later Editor-in-Chief/Chief Operating Officer of BusinessDay Media Limited, an investee company of the African Capital Alliance. More recently, he led a team on a turnaround mission to revive the ailing Daily Times of Nigeria Plc as the Group Managing Director/CEO/Editor-in-Chief with the active support of, and technical assistance from, PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
A fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Stanley was trained as a journalist/communications specialist and marketer in Aberdeen and Glasgow both in Scotland, United Kingdom, his highest degree being MSc, International Marketing from the Scottish Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He is handling the external affairs functions of the firm, involved mainly in community support and enabling environment.

Dr. Kisito Okpere |
Dr Kisito Okpere joined ACA in April 2008 as an Oil and Gas industry specialist with extensive experience in oil and gas development and management, within the Energy Sector of ACA. He had retired mid 2007 from a 35 year career with Shell after graduating with a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PH.D from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
His career with Shell spanned senior positions such as his last job as Vice-President, Engineering Business Development, in Shell Exploration & Production Company Africa Ltd (SEPA) and his previous job as the Technical Director for Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) where he held the responsibility for the delivery of technical work and business planning across the entire Company; and was the Company’s Decision Executive for most of the new opportunities maturation work.
His main career challenge however was as the Managing Director for eight years, of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Ltd (SNEPCO), a Shell affiliate working in Nigeria Deepwater frontier; having been appointed to that position shortly after the 1st major discovery well in the prolific Bonga deepwater field. As in-country CEO for SNEPCO, he executed the prime responsibility for leading the evolution of Shell’s deepwater business in Nigeria. In particular he was accountable for Shell’s deepwater interests for both operated acreage (Bonga) and non-operated acreage (Exxon-Mobil operated deepwater field, Erha; and Agip operated deepwater field, Abo), across the full development phase, utilizing Shell deepwater global organization, and other specialist services.
His career in SNEPCO was preceded by 24 years prior experience in field engineering and technical management responsibilities in gas facilities engineering, hands-on field/construction engineering all in SPDC; complemented by offshore gas development work in BSP Seria, Brunei in S.E. Asia; and regional share-holder engineering liaison in SIPM the Hague.

Olusegun Olujobi |
Segun joined ACA in March 2008 as an energy industry specialist. Prior to joining ACA, Segun led Accenture’s Oil, Gas and Utilities practice in Nigeria and was on the Resources Industry Leadership Council for Spain, Portugal and Africa. In his 20 year career with Accenture, Segun worked on a broad range of engagements for clients in Nigeria, The United Kingdom and South Africa. He spent the last decade working for clients in the Nigerian oil and gas industry providing a variety of business advisory services.

Kikelomo Longe |
Kikelomo Longe is a Vice President at African Capital Alliance (ACA) with responsibility for Investor Relations and Fund Administration. She joined ACA in 1999, bringing work experience in financial controls, banking and finance, and venture capital. She started her career in 1985 with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte Akintola Williams) as a trainee accountant and qualified as a chartered accountant winning two national prizes at the qualifying examinations. After Deloitte, she gained experience in Banking, finance and general management before joining Ventures & Trusts Limited (V&T) in 1995 as financial controller. V&T is a Nigeria-based venture capital/project finance company that managed a small Venture Capital fund for the European Investment Bank. Mrs. Longe holds Bachelors’ degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos.

He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1989.

Sola Adeyegbe |
Sola Adeyegbe is Head, Legal/Compliance at African Capital Alliance (ACA), a leading private equity manager focused on Africa. Sola provides internal legal advisory support to the firm. Before joining ACA in 2008, he has had a varied legal career spanning banking, insurance, aviation and energy. Sola has been involved in complex consortium lending, privatizations as well as designing regulatory arrangements. In 2002, he served on Nigeria’s Aviation Policy Review Committee. Between 2001 and 2004, Sola collaborated with relevant government bodies to organise National Seminars on Aviation, Tourism, Energy, Telecoms and Banking. Presentations at these Seminars were edited by Sola and published as Journals. He was engaged as Aviation Specialist in 2006 under the World Bank Privatisation Support Project with the Bureau of Public Enterprises where he reviewed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Bill which on enactment promotes private sector participation in Aviation. At the same time he advised on the regulatory aspects of the Nigerian transport sector.
Sola was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1986 and has a Master of Laws Degree in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the University of Dundee. He is a member of the Energy Institute, UK and member of the Section on Energy and Resources Law of the International Bar Association (IBA).

Olumide Obayomi |
Olumide Obayomi joined African Capital Alliance (ACA) in July, 1998. He brings to the firm a wealth of experience in accounting, financial reporting and control, and general management both in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining ACA, Olumide had worked with a Nigerian University as Principal Accountant, was Assistant Chief Accountant in a multinational bank in Nigeria until 1993 and had responsibility for managing two non-bank financial institutions. Olumide holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountant.

Nkem Odibeli is a Vice President at ACA and brings over 20 years experience in banking and finance related functions. He started his career at Citibank in 1989, where he spent over 10 years, before joining Fountain Trust Bank where he left as Divisional Head, Markets. He was also Managing Director of First Guarantee Pension (PFA) and then, Executive Director, Structured Capital Company Limited (a Project and Real Estate Finance Firm). Nkem holds Bachelors’ degree in Finance and Graduate degree in Marketing from University of Lagos. He is a member of and holds the qualifications of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, U.K.

Gbenga Adetoro is an Investment Officer at Africa Capital Alliance (ACA). With more than US$500 million of capital under management and a significant track record of successfully exiting investments, ACA is one of Africa’s leading private equity firms. As a member of the ACA Energy team, which comprises world-class talents with over 10 years of Energy industry experience, Mr. Adetoro plays an active role in deal sourcing, evaluation and monitoring.
Prior to joining ACA in 2008, Mr. Adetoro was a Manager in the Accenture Global Energy practice where he assisted International Oil & Gas companies to create and sustain value in core operations. He was also involved in helping Energy companies, including the state-owned Electric Power Utility in project economic evaluation & ranking, business modelling, organization re-design & business architecture. Mr. Adetoro started his career in the Assurance & Business Advisory unit at Arthur Andersen (now KPMG Professional Services) where he worked on audit and due diligence activities. Mr. Adetoro graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University with a BSc. in Electronic/ Electrical Engineering. He is a citizen of Nigeria.

Prior to joining the Capital Alliance Private Equity team in 2006, Emmanuel spent 12 years in the banking industry serving in various capacities including managerial positions covering banking operations, trade services, financial control and products development. His previous employments include Citizens Bank, Zenith Bank, Continental Trust Bank and Bond Bank. He also had a stint in the manufacturing sector where he worked as the Financial Controller of Stonecraft FZE.
Emmanuel holds a first class degree in Economics from University of Cross River State (now University of Uyo), where he graduated winning several prizes including the overall best graduating student for the 1991 academic year. He also holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Lagos and is a qualified Nigerian Chartered Accountant.

Dave Oguejiofor |
Dave Oguejiofor is a Vice President of African Capital Alliance (ACA). He is a real estate specialist with Capital Alliance Property Investment Company (CAPIC) and plays an active role in deal sourcing, execution, and management of real estate investments.
Mr. Oguejiofor joined the ACA team in 2001 and initially looked after our real estate advisory work as well as our interest in joint venture companies for hotel management (Protea Hotels) and real estate facilities management (FMC Nigeria Limited). Mr. Oguejiofor was previously Country Representative/Project Monitor for SIO Properties (Pty) Limited, South Africa, where he managed the development and sales of multi-million Rand cluster homes in Sandton. He also served as Project Engineer with Bouygues Nigeria Limited for four years before he traveled to South Africa in 1995.
Mr. Oguejiofor had an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M University. He also holds Diploma in Project Management (DPM) from Damelin Management School, Randburg, South Africa. Mr. Oguejiofor is a citizen of Nigeria.

Femi holds a Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management and an LLB degree in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. Femi is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London Nigerian Branch.

Adegboyega Oladele |
Adegboyega Oladele joined Africa Capital Alliance (ACA) in 2009 as an oil and gas advisor. Prior to joining ACA, Dr. Oladele spent over ten years in Royal Dutch Shell and worked in operational performance delivery, strategy, and capital allocation roles in several countries including the US, the Netherlands and Nigeria. He was Business Advisor Africa in Shell International EP and was involved in major new business development opportunities and commercial negotiations in Nigeria, Ghana, Gabon, Cameroon, Algeria, and East Africa. Prior to Shell, Dr. Oladele was a consultant in the Strategy Practice in the Lagos Office of Accenture where he served local and regional clients in strategy, corporate transformation, and operational performance improvements covering banking, financial services, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and local conglomerates. He was part of the team that developed the case for Nigeria vision 2010 an economic blue-print for Nigeria.
Dr. Oladele holds a PhD in Geography (Geostatistics) from the University of Ibadan and an MBA Imperial College London where he was a Chevening Scholar and co-winner of the Urwick Prize for the best MBA project. Dr. Oladele pioneered semi-variogram modeling for soil variation in basement complex and sedimentary systems in Nigeria.

Tony Egbuna |
Tony Egbuna is a Vice President at ACA. He joined in 2009 with more than 24 years of varied experience in Financial Management, Banking, Auditing, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning and Enterprise Risk Management, having been exposed to Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Consumer products and several other industries as Auditor, Consultant and Banker. He worked previously at Arthur Andersen, FSB International Bank, ProAce Consulting and United Bank for Africa in Lagos, Nigeria; as well as in ReynoldsAmerican, Winston Salem and Jefferson Wells, Charlotte, in the United States. He was one of a two-man team that led the turnaround consulting engagement at the then Federal Savings Bank, enabling the previously unprofitable government-owned bank to achieve profitability in the first year and be privatized within 2.5 years. Tony holds a First Class Bachelor of Science (Social Sciences) degree from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), and an MBA from Wake Forest University, Winston Salem. He is also a Chartered Acountant.

Prior to joining ACA in 2009, Bunmi worked as an investment banker in the Global Energy Group of Credit Suisse at New York where he was involved in financial advisory and capital raising efforts for power and renewable firms. Prior to that, Bunmi was a management consultant at Accenture where he was involved mainly in business and process re-engineering engagements for clients in various industries.
Bunmi has an MBA degree from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia and a B.Sc (Mechanical Engineering) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
